Hi there!

I'm Katie, the Owner and Artist of Neer the Creek. It's my passion to create art that celebrates memorable moments. I've always felt it was important to hold onto memories that have made you who you are, and that's exactly what I hope to bring to my work.

This brand started as a partnership with my husband, Andrew. Our long-distance relationship during college is what led us to name the business after our alma maters, Appalachian State and Campbell University. Now, I've taken on the business on my own (but not without his help, of course).

From traditional envelope calligraphy to modern handlettering on event signage, I offer services to personalize your wedding or event.

I love being able to creatively capture a moment in time with watercolors. Pets, houses, churches and venues are my specialties.

As a designer, I love to help people discover their own story through design and branding efforts. I never pass up an opportunity to design invitations, programs, menus or anything else for a happy couple.

Hi, I'm Katie!

When I'm not working my full-time gig as a Graphic Designer, I'm at home working on any and all things creative for

Neer the Creek.

I want to create intentional designs that are sentimental. I hope you can look at one of my paintings and remember all of the intimate details of your wedding day or all the memories that made your childhood house feel like a home. As long as I'm creating meaningful work that serves a purpose, I'm happy.

Breakfast food is my go-to, and I love anything chocolate. I own way too many blankets to count, I'm a "wanna be" plant mom, and I was a collegiate student-athlete for four years at Appalachian State. I'm so glad you've come across my website!

"But blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in Him. They will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots to the stream. It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green. It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit."

Jeremiah 17:7-8
